Meet Your Coach

My professional background includes eleven years as the director for a non-profit organization that specialized in community development.

Part of my role was mentoring people in points of transition, and I was good at it – I found my niche. I then pursued certification as a coach and Birkman consultant, and my current career was born.

I hold both a science degree and a theology degree, and I appreciate the variety, creativity, and grey areas inherent in these disciplines.

As a trauma-informed coach, I take a direct, encouraging approach to my coaching practice. It is my intention that my clients feel supported and safe, while also discovering their own potential for growth.

It can be easy to miss. That feeling that, just maybe, the job you used to love isn’t a great fit anymore.

Or maybe your job is fine, but you can’t find the time for the art you used to make. Or maybe you’ve come through a tough season, and you’re ready to figure out what comes next. Maybe you’d give anything for a bit of balance. Life throws a lot at us, but there's no reason you have to figure it all out alone.

As a trained Vocational Coach, I love helping people navigate change and discover what makes them tick. Through a variety of exercises and tests, I can help you gain clarity on career goals, personality traits, and what feeds your soul. Wherever you find yourself, whatever your questions – there are tools available to help you take the next step.

Coaching is a relationship, built upon one-on-one sessions that allow you to delve into your current opportunities and discern where you’re headed. Sessions over the phone work just as well as in-person, meaning you can be on your way no matter where you are. Coaching tackles the big questions within a respectful partnership. Whether you are stuck, adrift, or just starting out, I can help you plan your way to a rewarding career – and a better understanding of yourself.

But what if you’re not just an individual, you say? What if you’re part of a whole team?

That’s fantastic – because Team Coaching is becoming a more and more vital resource in today’s challenging workplace. With a background in professional coaching techniques and eleven years' experience directing a non-profit, I offer organizations the opportunity to learn about their strengths and weaknesses, and to develop a strategy based on vision and purpose. Experiencing loss of direction? Stagnation? Funky company dynamics? All of these are challenges that can be faced through the tenets of coaching. Through personality tests and group discussion, I can suggest how best to put the swing back in your team’s step.

No matter whether you’re one person or a hundred, coaching can set you on the path to your next great adventure.
