We all know the feeling.

That one that whispers from somewhere deep in our guts:

Am I headed in the right direction?

As a trained Vocational Coach, I love helping people find their direction and wrestle with the various questions that crop up as we navigate life.

Does this sound familiar?

  • You find yourself stuck in a career you find unsatisfying

  • You’re hoping to negotiate a raise but you’re unsure how

  • You want to move somewhere new and experience new things

  • You’re adding a new addition to your family but anxious about not knowing what happens to your career

  • You’re just starting out, on the brink of adulthood and all of its challenges

Wherever you find yourself, whatever your questions - there are tools available to take the next step.

What is Career Coaching?

Image of two people having a meeting at a table. Their faces are not showing. One is taking notes, the other is shuffling papers.

Coaching is a relationship, built upon one-on-one sessions that allow you to delve into your current opportunities and what makes you tick.

A coach acts as an objective listener and uses their professional training to help you gain clarity on career goals, personality traits, and what feeds your soul.

Sessions over the phone work just as well as in-person, meaning you can be on your way no matter where you are. Sometimes there may be homework.

We tackle the big questions within a respectful partnership – all without getting weird. You’re on a journey; I can help you plan your route.

You are a whole person. Live a whole life.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's Coaching Like?

Coaching is a partnership that uses thought-provoking and creative exercises towards an end goal. Coaching honours the client – that’s you! – as the expert in their own life, and works to reinforce the idea that every person is unique, resourceful, and whole.

The coach’s responsibility is to discover what you want to achieve and then direct you towards honest self-discovery. Coaching relies on client-generated solutions and strategies, coupled with the coach’s extensive knowledge of personality and vocational testing. This process can help you dramatically improve your outlook on work and life while tapping into your leadership skills and unlocking your potential.

Are you reading for coaching?

Since coaching is a partnership, here are two questions you need to ask yourself before you enter a coaching relationship.

Do you value collaboration, alternative viewpoints, and new perspectives?

Are you or your business ready to devote the time and energy to implement real change?

If the answer is yes, then coaching is likely to be an incredible boost to your progress.

How does a typical coaching session go?

Online

In-Person

Either in-person or over the phone – a typical session begins with a personal interview to identify your goals. Subsequent sessions can tackle everything from current obstacles to future opportunities, and are held to an agreed-upon schedule and set of priorities. There may also be homework, and throughout our time together I may provide relevant articles, checklists, or assessments, depending on where you’re trying to end up. The duration of a coaching relationship varies depending on the needs of both client and coach.

The key thing to remember is that you’ll get out of coaching as much as you put into it – after all, you’re the key to gaining clarity.
